School Lunches
Serving the school and community with healthy and fresh hot meals daily.
Following a lengthy tendering process, the school’s catering contract has been awarded to Edwards & Ward, who will be preparing and serving meals after Easter. Catering at BPS is very different to other schools as we are open 51 weeks of the year and cater for wraparound care each day. The final selection was between 2 companies and the decision was made following a presentation day and food tasting. We were delighted that a group of children from Year 4 and Year 6 joined the food tasting and they all thought the Edwards and Ward food was delicious. We look forward to welcoming Edwards and Ward to BPS and to them serving delicious and nutritious meals to the children as well as those from other local schools.

Healthy Packed Lunches Information
Kidsfruit, who supply our fruit at school, have joined up with Veg Power to promote the consumption of vegetables in schools.
As part of Veg Power's ongoing mission to encourage the UK to eat more veg, they would like to make it easier for parents and carers to add more veg to children's lunchboxes. Recent research from Leeds University found that only one in five children had any vegetables or salad in their packed lunch.
To support parents, Veg Power has developed a ’60 Second Lunchbox Hacks’ PDF.
